Why you should start writing poems.

I have started writing poems. Here’s why,

  1. Increases creativity,
  2. Enhanced Vocabulary,
  3. Can express my thought in a creative way and so on…

I wrote my first poem today, I have started it for the above mention benefits. You might think that I write blogs, so my vocabulary is already better, but the thing is I am also learning. In my previous blog, I mentioned that I will be consistent, and that was to improve my skills, you can read that blog after this I will pin it. By the way, If you feel it is difficult, don’t worry I will teach you, I know I’m not perfect, but I know the things you need the most

So let's start!

Step 1: Think of the central idea

Think of it, yes, A central idea on which your poem will revolve. A central idea can be around, happiness, sorrow, excitement, nervousness, etc.

Step 2: Choose a specific central idea

So, now, you have chosen a central idea. You also have to choose a specific idea. For example, you have chosen happiness, so you have to write according to it, you have to choose a story in which you felt happy. And so on.

Step 3: Get the idea, if not, imagine

If you don’t memorize the moment, you can imagine it. You just have to imagine the story, it could be fictional.

Step 4: It’s time to write!

Now you are ready with prerequisites, let’s write something great. Don’t expect yourself to write as our great poets, just start with a weird storyline. Now you have the story, write it line by line, by rhyming. For your help, I am posting pictures here.

Pool Trauma — Harshil Gupta

I was a good boy,
Until I entered high school,
There was something new,
That is why I felt joy,

Used to fear by the pool,
But want to look cool,

Want to attend a pool party,
And excited for that,
Who would know there was nothing planned,
And I tanned,
Got frustrated by that.

But the pool seems heaven now,
Only one reaction was there, wow!

Teachers offered starters, I refused
Expected to be asked again,
But no gain,
Kept the ego side, requested

But they declined, and I fasted.
The lesson for you is to, not get induced,
From the friend whom himself got,
So how this became a trauma for me,
Don’t chase for
free!

So that is it for today, hope my post will help someone in the future. There was no one for me but I’m there for you here. Respond to this story, I am waiting for your poems. Good luck, may you write better poems from now.
